Kuwait – Mubasher: Fujairah Cement Industries Co achieved a surge of 88.7% in profits during the second quarter this year as compared to the same period a year ago.

Earnings soared to KWD 1.36 million ($4.51 million) in Q2-16 from about KWD 720,850 ($2.39 million) in Q2-15, according to a bourse statement.

The company, which is listed on both KSE and ADX, reported a jump of 96.4% in profits during the first half to KWD 2.73 million ($9.04 million) versus KWD 1.39 million ($4.6 million) in the corresponding period in 2015.
